Show Jumping

Danielle and I met up with Jacky and Anna at Horsemans bright and early this morning to watch Anna and Vei jump. The jumps are all so beautiful down there! We were all drooling over them. Anna's classes were the 45 and 60cm classes meant to commence at 9am. They were running a bit late with the 45cm arena so we went and walked the 60cm course instead. This one was Power and speed. Basically you had to have a clear round for the first to jumps then when the whistle blows you had to have the best time (correct me if I'm wrong). So that one was quite exciting as the course was a bit snakey.
After that we went and walked the 45cm course then Anna saddled up and warmed up Vei over a few practice jumps.
Vei refused the double twice but for the rest she did really well. She was a lot more relaxed than the previous shows and Anna was very proud of her. It was then time for the next course so Anna warmed up again over some bigger jumps. We watch the other competitors going over the course and they just flew. Some of them were going flat out over them.
Sadly Anna didn't make it to the end of the course because of a refusal over the double. But we all agreed that she has really improved! And that they both did a fantastic job.
After this Anna convinced Dani to get on Vei and try a few jumps but Dani hadn't even gotten into the arena before she was stopped and told to get off because she was wearing jeans lol! Oh well.
Dani and I left shortly thereafter so you girls will have to tell us how the rest of your day went!
